Booking
Please telephone or email to confirm availability for the time that you would like to stay. I will reserve the cottage for you for five working days to enable you to forward me your completed booking form and a 20% deposit. I will then write to confirm your reservation and give you the date by which the balance is due. The balance is due no later than four weeks before the start of your let. In the event that you are booking less than four weeks before the start of the let, payment in full will be required with the booking form. Once the booking has been confirmed the deposit will be non-refundable but will be deducted from the full amount due. Payment may be made by cheque and my account details are also available on request for payments to be made through internet banking.
The price of your stay includes electricity, heating, your first basket of logs, wifi, all towels and bed linen and a welcome pack.
Cancellation
Please let me know immediately, by telephone/email and in writing if you have to cancel your booking. The day that I receive your written notification is the date of cancellation. A charge will be payable, for an amount up to the full rental, depending on the number of days before the holiday start date that the notice of cancellation is received. You may wish to arrange insurance to cover you in the event that you should need to cancel your stay.
If, for any reason beyond my control the cottage becomes unavailable for the dates of your holiday I will cancel the booking without liability and refund all monies paid in full.
Arrivals and departures
Bookings are from Friday to Friday and you can arrive from 3.30 pm onwards. I ask everyone, in the nicest way possible, to leave at 10.00am on the day of their departure so that I can prepare for the next arrivals!
Long weekends are Friday to Monday and short breaks can be available in the week, with the departure being on a day prior to or on a Friday morning.
Occupancy conditions
I would ask that you keep the cottage in a reasonably clean and tidy state during your stay and place all rubbish in the outside dustbin on a Wednesday night ready for bin collection early on Thursday mornings and again before leaving to return home. The final clean of your cottage is included in the price of your holiday. Please report any damage. You are responsible for the actual cost of any breakage or damage in or to the accommodation-along with any additional costs that may result-which are caused by you or your party.
The number of people staying in the cottage must not exceed the number on the booking form. Cottage no.2 sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms. There is an option for 2 extra guests to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room at a supplement of £25.00 per person per night. Cottages 1. and 3. sleep 4 people in 2 bedrooms, with space for 4 additional guests on sofa beds at a supplement of £25.00 per person per night.
Parents are responsible for their children’s safety at all times.
The cottages are No Smoking.
Sorry, no dogs allowed as our tenant farmer keeps sheep here.
